The Andrew Network Products division of Andrew Corp, Chicago has introduced TranScend 400, a high-sped Windows file transfer package running over Twinax, Token Ring, Ethernet, SDLC and Async networks between an AS/400 and personal computers. The company claims that the use of Advanced Program-to-Program Communications-based data communications makes it five times faster than IBM Corp 5250 data stream products. List price is UKP155 for one user, UKP1,335 for 10 and UKP1,965 for 25 users.
