Andrew Corp, Chicago has signed a joint venture agreement with the Moscow underground railway to install a fibre-optic network in its tunnels: it will invest $1m for 31% of the venture with Moscow Metro holding the rest – in kind: it will contribute its existing network to the venture and grant wayleaves; the venture is part of the effort to upgrade the telephone system.
