The Journal also questions whether Apple Computer Inc’s playing up of the Macintosh System last week marks a subtle de-emphasis of the work being done on Pink by the Taligent Inc joint venture with IBM Corp, building up possibilities of conflict in the future – or whether it is simply playing up the Macintosh because if the idea got abroad that Pink was the whole future, sales of the Macintosh would fade.
