The giant Chicago Board of Trade has chosen Sun Microsystems Inc’s Sparcstation and Sparcservers for the implementation of its new trading technology system, Project A: the Board is limited by physical space required to establish additional trading pits, and Project A will enable Board members to trade a large variety of market niche futures contracts, such as scrap steel from windows opened on the Sparcstation screen; no indication was given of the value of the pact.
