AND STILL THEY GO: IBM GERMANY TO CUT 3,500 MORE JOBS…

By CBR Staff Writer

Stuttgart-based IBM Deutschland GmbH will cut at least another 3,500 jobs from its workforce in 1994, on top of the 3,500 cuts already announced for 1993, making a cut of at least 28% on the 25,000 full-time staffers IBM Deutschland had at the beginning of 1993. The company blames price wars and pressures on costs within the industry as well as the continent-wide recession.
