Ottawa, Ontario-based Simware Inc has also been developing Mobidem products. The company normally offers 3270 connections to mainframes over X25 networks or async connections, but has announced SplitSecond, a new software package that reduces screen data needs by 70%, to give connections between laptops and mainframes via the Mobidem. The company has said that it will also be working on client-server connections for the Mobidem modem.
