Meanwhile Rochester, New York-based Sayett Group Inc has formed a new venture, WAH-III Technology Corp, to develop, manufacture and market a proprietary active matrix liquid crystal display. The venture has contracted with US manufacturers to produce 1 to 2 diagonal panels starting in the second quarter of next year. The primary markets the venture will target are computer data and video projection systems, head-up displays, portable computers and computer monitors. Sayett’s equity investments in WAH-III Technology are funded in increments based on levels of development and production, and it retains an option to acquire the venture outright as it successfully develops. It does not intend to discuss the technology until the work has progressed.
