And Alpha Micro has gone to Albuquerque, New Mexico-based Basis International Inc, a developer and marketer of language and database products for single and multi-user business applications for BBx Progression/4, an upgraded version of the company’s extended Business Basic application development and run-time environment. Alpha Micro will distribute the product on its Series 90 machines, running under Santa Cruz Operation Inc Unix, or AT&T Co Unix System V, or with MS-DOS and local area networks. Described as the most powerful version of Business Basic available, BBx Progression/4 is said to contain refined code to increase run-time performance by as much as 50%, depending on application design.
