Novell Inc completed acquisition of privately held Digital Research Inc after shareholders of the latter approved the move to exchange their shares for 3m new Novell shares, valuing the Monterey, California company at a striking $135m or so – Novell has split its shares two-for-one since the announcement of the acquisition plan – at the time of the agreement, the agreed price valued Digital Research at $79.50.
