Mitsubishi Electric Corp has now started marketing the recently announced 705 entry model and low-end 710 model of the Hewlett-Packard Co’s Series 700 Precision Architecture RISC workstations that it buys OEM: the ME/R7050 model has a processing speed of 35 MIPS while the ME/R7100 is 57.9 MIPS; Mitsubishi is also selling the 24 plane full colour image CRX-024 and the Z-buffer model CRX-24Z, and is offering PowerShade three-dimensional rendering software; it has also announced increased memory and RAID disk arrays for the models that it sells as ME/R7200, R7300 and R7500.
