…AND EXTENDS NIFTY-SERVE DOWN TO DOWN UNDER

By CBR Staff Writer

Fujitsu has announced an extended service for its Nifty-Serve, Japan’s second most popular personal computer communications service, to Australia and Taiwan. The new service, which also links into Compuserve, operated in Australia and New Zealand by the Fujitsu Australia affiliate, is provided mainly for Japanese travellers and businesspeople in those regions. Nifty-Serve has over 550,000 subscribers and 170 access points in Japan, and rates second to PC-VAN, the service that’s operated by NEC Corp.
