Santa Clara, California-based Auspex Systems Inc has released further additions to its Network Server software: the Writer Accelerator – transparent to Unix and Network File System applications – promises to improve File System throughput of network servers by 20% and user response time by 50%; it’s priced at $4,000 and shipments begin next month; Auspex servers now also support X-terminals and X workstations as part of an agreement with Interactive Systems Corp, licensing Portable Open Windows Software; this additional feature costs $2,500.
