Semiconductor exports by South Korea’s Anam Industrial Co Ltd, the world’s largest chip assembler, reached a cumulative $10,000m last year, Anam said: the company is said to account for nearly 40% of the world’s semiconductor assembly and in 1992 it exported assembled chips worth $1,770m, from $1,370m in 1991; it took 22 years to reach the aggregate figure of $10,170m.
