Anam Semiconductor & Technology Co Ltd will set up a joint venture with Malaysian chip assembler Niaga Lima Bhd to produce lead frames: the Korean and Niaga will each hold 40% of the $16m venture. The remaining 20% will be taken by a Malaysian businessman. The plant, to have a monthly production capacity of 6m units, will be completed early next year near Kuala Lumpur, Anam said.
