Although the reporters at the Montgomery Securities investment conference we have been summarising over the past few days concentrated mainly on high tech companies – and with 200 companies presenting, they could hardly cover everything without clogging the wires – analysts like Montgomery’s own John Skeen have to have a rather wider focus, and he says that a side-effect of all the corporate investment in computer networking he is seeing is a negative for some clothes retailers, especially suit and dress sellers – networks enable more employees to work at home – and dress accordingly…
