SoundView Financial Corp analyst Gary Helmig has cut his estimates for Digital Equipment Corp’s fiscal third and fourth quarter earnings and revenues, because of the effect of the strengthening dollar. He cut his (current) third quarter earnings estimate to $0.22 a share, from $0.25 a share previously and for the fourth quarter to $0.55 a share, from $0.70 a share.
