Analog Devices Inc of Norwood, Massachusetts, says it plans to announce two acquisitions on Monday, February 22 that will solidify its position with digital signal processor hardware and software. Analog, which is currently joint third in the booming DSP marketplace and has a 12% market share, level with Motorola Inc and behind Texas Instruments Inc and Lucent Technologies Inc, recently signed a joint development deal with Intel Corp, marking Intel’s first entry into DSP chips (CI No 3,591).
