Anacomp Inc, Indianapolis, is still trying to get its Xidex Inc acquisition right, and has cut 172 jobs from the 1,100 people it employs at a the Santa Clara hard disk media plant in a continuing effort to consolidate its operations, saying the market was moving away from the oxide disks it manufactures there.
