AMSTRAD SHARES JUMP AT NEWS THAT FOUNDER WANTS OUT

Shares in Amstrad Plc jumped 12.5 pence to 152.5 pence yesterday after NatWest Securities put a value of 190 pence on them and said it believed founder Alan Sugar now wants out of Amstrad. NatWest also highlighted Amstrad’s cash pile, expected to have accumulated to 120m pounds at the end of last year.
