The boys at the sharp end of Amstrad Plc, who probably ought to know, certainly don’t believe that Alan Sugar had any secret agenda when he tried to take the company private: after his offer failed, two of the company’s (executive) directors, Malcolm Miller and Robert Watkins, sold their entire holdings of 714,000 and 563,500 shares respectively, at 23.125 pence; each still has options on more shares.
