Amstrad Plc has paid UKP1.65m for a 29.5% stake in telephone marketer Betacom Plc, a 26.5% stake coming from Cannon Street Investments, the rest from Amstrad chairman Alan Sugar. With a UKP500 video telephone under development, Amstrad says it sees possible synergy with Betacom.
