AMSTRAD AND AKHTAR SHARE OPEN UNIVERSITY DEAL

Meantime the initial pact for 2,500 IBM Personalikes for the Open University is being shared 80% by Amstrad Plc, with the balance going to market newcomer Akhtar Group Plc of Harlow, Essex (CI No 639): the Open U has UKP2.25m from the Department of Trade & Industry to buy up to 4,500 CPUs for rent by students.
