Ameritech and the Communications Workers of America resumed contract negotiations yesterday, the first time they have met since the 40,000 members came out on August 13; 40,000 CWA members and 20,000 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers members are still out at Nynex Corp, and the Brotherhood’s 9,000 members at Bell Atlantic Corp are still on strike.
