Rapid data management system (RDMS) is a data collection and management system that is designed to assist disaster relief organizations to gain real-time situational awareness of field conditions. RDMS allows field users operating in austere environments with little or no communications capability to collect data on handheld devices and to transmit that data over secure satellite or cellular connections to a virtual network operation center where it is instantaneously aggregated and analyzed.
RDMS allows field users to input precisely the data they need based on their own historical operating requirements and then presents that data in the way in which the customer would like to see the data presented. By using RDMS, decision-makers at the organization’s headquarters are able to assess the situation in the field accurately and in real-time.
