AMERICAN DESKTOP SOFTWARE SALES RISE 8% IN SECOND QUARTER

Sales of personal computer applications in North America reached $1,570m in the second quarter of 1995, a 7.9% rise from the second quarter of 1994, the Software Publishers Association said. Total international sales increased 18.7%, while combined North American and international sales increased by 15.3%. Mac sales fell 7% at $226.5m.
