America Online announced that its membership has passed 13 million. But David Simons, managing director of Digital Video Investments, rained on the ISP’s parade. Simons told CBS MarketWatch that it’s been 133 days since AOL announced its 12 millionth member, compared to 76 days between 9 and 10 million, 64 days between 10 and 11 million and 86 days from 11 to 12 million. Even allowing for seasonal differences doesn’t change the picture of slowing growth, Simons said.
