We hear that Amdahl UK Ltd has been inordinately successful in luring away IBM UK staff and word is that IBM had been taking it with a stiff upper lip until a team of three from South Bank jumped ship together: the last straw was when IBM found that they had taken the receptionist with them, and Amdahl got a stiff note asking it to please keep its poaching within reason.
