Amdahl Corp chief financial officer Edward Thompson says the outlook continues to be uncertain in the mainframe computer market after the company’s strong turnaround in the fourth quarter: Amdahl is determined to keep costs down in the competitive market, inventories have peaked and it expects capital spending to be sharply lower in 1993.
