Amdahl also slugged its 5890 uniprocessor further with a Model 180 that offers 0.82 times the performance of the 190E, and has up to 256Mb main memory and 48 channels: with 32Mb and 16 channels it costs $2.225m in the US; first deliveries are set for September.
