Amdahl Corp yesterday released the schedule for its support of key IBM Enterprise Systems Architecture/390 features. Support for Escon fibre optic channels on the 5990 and 5995 mainframes will arrive second quarter 1992, and Escon Converter support will be available on the 6100 storage processor in fourth quarter 1991. Support for Sysplex, Sysplex Timer and Cross-System Facility will be out in third quarter 1992 on the 5995M models, fourth quarter on 1992 on the 5990 and 5995As. It already supports the MVS/SP 4 and TPF 3.1 operating systems and added support for VM/ESA 1.0 this week.
