AMDAHL GETS NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO

By CBR Staff Writer

Amdahl Corp has appointed David Wright as the company’s new president and chief executive officer, just weeks after Fujitsu Ltd was given the go ahead to acquire all of Amdahl’s outstanding shares (CI No 3,244). Wright replaces former chairman, president and CEO John Lewis, who will continue as chairman of the board, on a board established by Fujitsu to oversee the strategy and direction of Amdahl. Wright has been at Amdahl since 1987, and his most recent position within the company was as executive vice president of the Amdahl Systems Group.
