Amdahl France SA had a splendid 1989, with turnover up 56% at the equivalent of about $85m, on which it estimates pre-tax profit of $6m. The company says that it has implanted its machines at 25 new sites over the past two years, and reckons that its installed base now stands at 1,600 MIPS, up from 850 MIPS in 1988 and 450 in 1987. In employs 90 staff.
