Amdahl Corp, which usually uses the same dollar price list right around the world, is not implementing the increases announced by the US company this week (CI No 1,148), in Europe – but in the UK at least, the whole thing is pretty academic because the 3090 market is so competitive that IBM has had to tear up its price list, and prices are in general only what each individual customer is prepared to pay.
