Amdahl Corp has signed Integrated Computer Solutions Inc, Cambridge, Massachusetts to do an implementation of the Open Software Foundation’s Motif graphical user interface for Amdahl’s UTS 2.0 mainframe version of Unix System V.3.1. Amdahl’s mainframes will also be the first to run Integrated’s latest product, The Builder Xcessory, which enables a developer to create user interfaces for applications using Motif and the X Window System graphically. Both the add-ons for UTS will be out later this month.
