AMD slashes Q2 sales forecast for second time

US chip manufacturer AMD has cut its Q2 sales forecast for the second time in under a month. The company now expects to post Q2 sales of around $600 million.

The latest sales forecast cut followed a warning issued on June 18 that said AMD’s sales would fall short of its original sales forecast. The company was expecting revenues in the region of $620-700 million. AMD now expects to make an operating loss for this quarter. The company is due to post its Q2 results on July 17.
