Advanced Micro Devices Inc has released its answer to Intel Corp’s latest mobile Celeron chips, the K6-III-P which has a clock speed of 366MHz. The x86-based chip has many design features in common with the AMD K6-III but runs at a lower voltage. The 0.25 micron wide chip runs at 2.2 volts and typically dissipates 12 watts of power in operation. The processor is available now, priced at $349 in 1,000 unit quantities, a 350MHz is $249.
