Downing Information Industry Co Ltd plans to build the Shunguang4000A by next march. The machine will occupy an area equivalent to a quarter of a football field. It will be designed to perform 10 trillion operations a second. The device will be built on AMD’s Opteron 32 bit/64 bit technology.
Downing has already developed a supercomputer capable of 4 trillion transactions a second.
