Advanced Micro Devices Inc has turned to Vancouver, British Columbia-based Advanced Gravis Computer Technology Inc for help to get it into the multimedia chip business. It has signed a 10-year licence agreement for Advanced Gravis UltraSounds audio technologies to make sound chips, for payment of minimum royalties. The technology is from Forte Technologies Inc; Advanced Gravis is paying Forte 1m of its shares for it.
