IBM Corp’s Raleigh, North Carolina-based Ambra Computer Corp introduced two new classes of personal computer to the US market: the systems are the 4100I/VL, which uses the 100MHz Intel Corp DX4 processor and the P90PCI using a Pentium processor running at 90MHz; a D4100I/VL costs $2,500 with 8Mb memory, 540Mb IDE hard disk, VESA local bus graphics accelerator and VESA local bus IDE disk controller; the DP90PCI with 8Mb memory, 540Mb disk, PCI local bus graphics accelerator, 2Mb video RAM and Ambra Multimedia Kit, sells for $3,600.
