Ambit Design Systems Inc has received $19m new funding from several investors including Cadence Design Systems Inc and Sumitomo Corp. One of the company’s first customers was LSI Logic Corp, and Cadence endorsed the company’s logic synthesis tool BuildGates by reselling it as a replacement for Cadence’s own synergy tool.
