Amazon App store for Android has been launched in 41 new countries with special focus in Southeast Asia, Middle East and Africa.

The e-commerce giant is offering 30 paid apps for free which collectively cost more than $100.

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, Instapaper, Calengoo and Little Piano Pro are some of the apps that Amazon is offering for free.

The apps support all Android devices and not just the Fire Phone, hence it is anticipated that Amazon is trying to promote apps that are not doing well in its App Store.

To get to the Amazon App Store the users have to go to the App Store site using an Android device and download the .apk file.

The expansion of the Amazon App store also allows developer community to create apps specifically for the Amazon App store.
