ALPS TO MAKE 3.5″ FLOPPIES IN APPLE’s OLD PLANT

Alps Electric of Japan is gearing up to make 40,000 to 50,000 3.5 floppy disk drives – many of them for Apple Computer Inc – a month at its new Garden Grove, California factory. The Alps plant is Apple’s old keyboards and accessories facility, which it shut down, and later sold to Alps Electric last year.
