Alps Electric Co Ltd plans to set up a factory in Dalian, China, to produce audio-visual equipment from next January, Reuter reports from Tokyo: the factory will be a joint venture between Alps Electronics Hong Kong Ltd, which will have 60% and Liaoning Dianweigi Chang, 40%; Dalian Alps Electronics Co Ltd will be established with $5m capital and an initial workforce of 700 people.
