Alphion Corporation and ITI form alliance

Alphion Corporation, a company engaged in developing and manufacturing communication systems, has entered into an alliance with ITI, a supplier of telephone and communications equipment and parts, to manufacture and distribute its family of GPON products.

According to the company, the AOLT-4000 Optical Line Terminal (OLT) consists high-density 40 GPON ports per shelf, 200 gigabit per second backplane, and 56 gigabit per second uplink capacity. The platform supports PON architectures with path and equipment redundancy. The product family includes optical network terminals for single family residences (AONT-100), small businesses (AONT-200), and multiple dwelling units (AONT-300).

Bharat Dave, chairman, president and CEO of Alphion, said: This alliance with ITI Limited is an exciting step and Alphion will be able to support ITI from our existing research, development and customer support centers in India. We are looking forward to close cooperation with ITI Limited as we begin addressing the needs for advanced FTTH networks in Asia.
