Charn Uswachoke, founder and chairman of the embattled Alphatec Group, has resigned following the discovery of discrepancies in the books by accountants Price Waterhouse. Alphatec, which was attempting to build a chip business in Thailand, is struggling to repay debts totaling $190m.
