ALPHAMERIC COMMENTS ON FIGURES

By CBR Staff Writer

Commenting on its figures (see page three) Alphameric Plc says that they are in line with the warning given in September that they would not meet earlier expectations as a result of significant data broadcast and viewdata terminal revenues being deferred to the second half: the company says that the order book at November 1 was UKP13.5m compared with UKP8.3m a year ago, leading Alphameric to believe that the second half will be strong, and in France, strong orders for highly customised professional keyboards lead the company to expect that the subsidiary will soon be profitable.
