Alpha Microsystems Inc is still shedding excess baggage, and says it expects to take a one-time write-off of up to $200,000 in the current quarter for the sale of its Alpha HealthCare unit. It has signed a letter of intent to sell the unit to privately-held Datacon Management Inc for a combination of cash, notes and other rewards. Financial terms were not disclosed.
