Santa Ana, California-based Alpha Microsystems Inc warns that revenue for its fiscal 1993 first quarter to May 31, will likely be off by about 7% compared with last year’s first quarter because of continuing computer industry recession and a lacklustre economic recovery, which has led to sluggish demand for new computer systems domestically, and to lower-than-expected sales in international markets; all that will add up to a $1.2m to $1.4m loss; at least Silicon Valley Bank has retained its confidence and Alpha Microsystems says that after reviewing the company’s preliminary first-quarter financial figures and plans for the balance of the year, the bank has agreed to increase the credit facility by 50% to $3m for the next 12 months to June 5 1993.
