ALPHA MICROSYSTEMS ACQUIRE BALANCE OF SHARES IN SABRE NI

By CBR Staff Writer

Alpha Microsystems Ltd has acquired the balance of the shares in Sabre Business Systems Northern Ireland Ltd to make it a wholly-owned subsidiary: its minority interest in the firm stems from its 1991 acquisition of a majority of Dublin-based Sabre Business Systems Ltd; Sabre wrote the Swords wholesale order processing and distribution system for cash-and-carry operators and delivered goods wholesalers; the acquisition will enable Alpha Micro to consolidate development and marketing of Swords, with which it hopes to raise its market share.
