Still soldiering on with its proprietary Amos operating system, little Alpha Microsystems Inc just got a little bit smaller. The Santa Ana, California company has sold its food service software unit to privately-held Pacific Triangle Software Inc of San Mateo, for $1m in total, including contingency payments of $600,000. The software unit, called Panda, develops and markets food service software for elementary and secondary schools.
